Service Disclaimer

This page describes how work is quoted and carried out at Auto Angel by CMFGCH, Inc.. It is written in plain language on purpose: it is a summary of how the shop operates, not a substitute for the written estimate you receive for your own vehicle.
1. Estimates and authorisation
A diagnosis produces findings, and the findings produce an estimate. Work beyond the agreed scope is not started without your approval. If, during a repair, it becomes clear that the agreed work will not solve the fault, we stop and contact you before doing anything else.
Verbal estimates are given in good faith but are not binding until they are written down for your vehicle. Prices for parts can change between the estimate and the repair; if that happens, you are told before the part is ordered.
2. Diagnosis, and faults that do not appear
Electrical faults are sometimes intermittent. A vehicle that behaves perfectly during the test cannot be diagnosed with certainty, and no honest shop can promise otherwise. In that case you receive the readings that were taken, an explanation of what could not be reproduced, and a recommendation for the next step.
A diagnostic fee covers the time spent testing the vehicle. It is separate from the cost of any repair and is not a guarantee that the fault will be found on the first visit.
3. Parts
Parts are supplied either by the shop or by you. Parts supplied by the shop carry whatever warranty their manufacturer provides; the shop does not extend or replace that warranty. Parts supplied by the customer are fitted as provided, and no warranty is given for the part itself.
Removed parts are kept and offered back to you. If you do not want them, ask before the work starts so they are not returned to the supplier as a core.
4. Vehicle condition and pre-existing faults
Vehicles arrive with their history. Corrosion, previous repairs, non-factory wiring and damage that is not related to the fault being diagnosed are reported when they are found, but they are not repaired as part of the agreed job and are not the responsibility of the shop.
5. Collection
Vehicles should be collected once the work is finished and you have been told. Storage beyond that point is a matter for the shop to arrange with you directly; ask before leaving a vehicle.
